I am a White, cis, 3rd generation settler woman, currently living in Port Moody, BC, the traditional and unceded territories of the Kwikwetlem First Nations.

I have worked in the field of mental health and addictions with youth, adults and families for the past ten years, with experience ranging over treatment, hospital, supportive housing, outreach, detox, trauma informed yoga, and counselling sites. Specifically in the last 6 years I have had the privilege of being part of the clinical teams at Carlile Youth Concurrent Disorders Centre and an Early Psychosis Intervention program on the North Shore. These professional experiences have been invaluable to support my growth as a therapist, witnessing the strength and resilience of the human spirit. They have given me knowledge in mental health and systemic difficulties, as well as skills in flexibly sensing the needs of each person I work with.

In this chapter of my professional journey, I’m committed to bringing the full range of my learning into the therapeutic space as a counsellor, showing up with presence and resilience to support you. My aim is to create a warm, collaborative environment where we can focus on what is personally meaningful to you. I take a holistic approach to counselling, attending to the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of your experience.

Hello there! I’m Kelsey, Registered Clinical Counsellor.

The heart and soul of my work is connecting with clients at a genuine level, creating space to explore the unfolding of their experience and shape meaningful change.

Personally -

My passion for counselling work is fairly reflective of my inner psyche. I have a studious nature and strong drive to continue learning about healing, resilience, lived experiences, somatic (body-based) healing work, spirituality and social justice. These interests inform much of my approach to our work together in counselling.

In my spare time, you will find me: reading, hiking with my family in the Port Moody trails, releasing stress through running, cycling, yoga or rec centre classes, spending time with friends and family, and always trying to get a few good laughs in a week!
